YOIL, as a bioidentical replacement for RBD palm oil, requires financial resources and ideally existing (fully depreciated) fermentation capability to move forward. YOIL addresses the supply chain issues of palm oil, the deforestation issues and the instability cause by geopolitics, export bans and other factors impacting quality and supply. YOIL has the capability to capture a significant portion of the $8.4-billion RBD palm oil market in North America and Europe. Production of YOIL will be a new commodity oil generated using agricultural feedstocks and by-products. A pathway toward price comparabiity has been identified and strain engineering is underway.
