A novel silica-based microparticle system, SNO-pods™, designed to release nitric oxide (NO) to increase blood flow to hair follicles, thereby promoting hair growth. Integration with infrared light therapy further amplifies NO release, enhancing efficacy.
The SNO-pods™ system is an innovative solution for hair growth, utilizing patented silica-based microparticles to deliver sustained nitric oxide (NO) release. This system enhances blood flow to hair follicles, similar to the mechanism used by minoxidil. The solution is personalized, responding to low-level infrared (IR) or red light therapy, which significantly boosts NO release and efficacy. The product is developed as a cream, foam, or serum with a unique two-compartment formulation that turns pink upon mixing, indicating NO activity.
This technology is at TRL 6, with SNO-pod production scaled up and integration with existing low-level laser therapy (LLLT) being refined. Human clinical trials are planned to substantiate efficacy claims and optimize dosage and light therapy parameters.
