Soteria Formulations offers a biodegradable, microplastic-free delivery platform for herbicides, utilizing lignocellulosic biomass for extended release and targeted delivery. This technology enhances herbicide efficiency, reduces environmental impact, and facilitates regulatory approval.
Soteria Formulations introduces a revolutionary biodegradable, microplastic-free herbicide delivery platform derived from lignocellulosic biomass (LCM). This innovative technology addresses the critical issues of environmental pollution and herbicide resistance by enabling targeted delivery and extended release of herbicides at significantly lower active ingredient (AI) loads. By utilizing sustainably sourced natural products, this platform reduces the environmental impact associated with conventional herbicide formulations and offers a streamlined pathway to EPA registration.
Currently at TRL 4, the technology has been validated through laboratory and greenhouse tests, with Phase I and II plans to further develop and scale up production. Phase I will focus on the feasibility of prototype LCM formulations, while Phase II will address large-scale manufacturing, shelf-life studies, and field trials to meet regulatory requirements.
