Re-analysis of existing datasets to evaluate the relationship between micronutrient intake and muscle strength and body composition in healthy young adults. Aimed at developing a multi-micronutrient intake strategy for enhanced muscle health and body composition.
This research project aims to re-analyze existing datasets to evaluate the relationship between micronutrient intake and muscle strength and body composition among healthy young adults. By focusing on multi-micronutrient intake levels at or above the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA), the study seeks to establish whether higher intakes confer significant benefits in terms of muscle strength and ideal body composition. The ultimate goal is to develop a recommended multi-micronutrient intake strategy to support improved muscle function, healthy aging, weight management, and metabolic health.
The research project is currently at Technology Readiness Level 5, indicating that the study has progressed to the re-analysis of existing data with preliminary analysis already conducted. The completion of the additional analysis is expected within a six-month timeframe.
