East Tennessee State University offers partnership opportunities focused on environmental health, disaster sciences, resilience, and community health protection. We collaborate with public agencies, nonprofits, healthcare systems, and private-sector partners on projects involving environmental hazards, disaster preparedness and response, health risk communication, climate-related impacts, exposure assessment, and applied community-based research.
Partnerships can include sponsored research, pilot and demonstration projects, co-development, workforce or student-engaged projects, and technical or analytical support. Our goal is to help partners generate actionable evidence, evaluate programs, and strengthen preparedness and response capacity. We are especially interested in projects that serve Appalachian and rural communities, translate directly into practice, and create meaningful opportunities for training and innovation.
