Preclinical rodent cardiovascular disease models with echocardiography, hemodynamics, and functional assessment. Partners can run studies core-assisted or self-directed, covering heart failure, hypertension, stroke, and lung injury.
The Cardiovascular Research Core, part of UIC's Research Resources Center, provides rodent cardiovascular disease models and functional assessment for preclinical research and drug-efficacy testing. Partners can run studies self-directed or core-assisted, covering heart failure, hypertension, pulmonary hypertension, stroke, and lung injury.
UIC and external researchers schedule instrument time through UIC iLab (uic.ilab.agilent.com); new services require contacting the core. Internal rates extend to Northwestern and University of Chicago users. All work requires prior IACUC-approved animal protocol.
