Introducing a DES-based microemulsion platform that enhances beard growth by effectively delivering minoxidil and finasteride to hair follicles. This innovative solution offers improved penetration and stability, addressing limitations of current products for faster, visible results.

Overview

The DES-based microemulsion platform offers an innovative solution to enhance beard growth and thickness. Developed by leveraging patented technology (WO2024175915A1), this platform combines minoxidil and finasteride to deliver active ingredients directly to hair follicles. By addressing limitations such as slow efficacy and poor targeting, this solution promises faster and more visible results compared to existing products.

Technical specifications

Key features:

  • Utilizes DES-based microemulsion for superior penetration capabilities
  • Proven stability of active ingredients like minoxidil and finasteride
  • Demonstrated efficacy in permeability studies using Franz cells and Raman mapping
  • Stability confirmed by FTIR, MS, NMR, and Raman mapping, ensuring active compounds maintain efficacy

The microemulsion's ability to penetrate complex tissues like human nails and skin enhances its potential to effectively target hair follicles, thus promoting beard growth efficiently.

Technology readiness level

The technology is currently at TRL 5, indicating that it has been validated in a relevant environment. Future steps aim at refining and optimizing the formulation for commercial readiness, including stability assessments, targeted permeability validation, and comprehensive safety and efficacy testing.
