Opportunities to deploy new chemically resistant reverse osmosis membranes to challenging wastewater reuse applications. 1000X more stable to hypochlorite than conventional membranes, operate efficiently at extreme pH with confidence in durability , smooth surface.
About
NALA is an early stage membrane company that has developed a new class of membrane, the sulfonated polysulfone thin film composite membrane. We got rid of the fragile polyamide layer in conventional membranes and replaced it with a patented sulfonated polysulfone. The magic in our membranes is the tough and durable material coupled with a proprietary manufacturing process that produces a smooth surface to reduce fouling and scaling rates. They are designed with a drop-in form factor for existing reverse osmosis treatment systems. They can be applied effectively where conventional membranes cannot be used sustainably, in particular where organic fouling and biofouling are significant problems. NALA sells two MVP membrane products and can optimize further in collaboration with partners.
