Investigating the nutritional, genetic and pharmacological regulation of appetite, metabolic and GI health, and the gut-brain axis across preclinical and human models to discover novel targets and therapeutics.
I'm looking for

Seeking industry partners for sponsored research, co-funded PhD studentships, and collaborative R&D projects to validate biomarkers, nutritional interventions, or therapeutics targeting appetite regulation, gut function, and carbohydrate metabolism.
About
I am a Principle Investigator studying how genetics and gut-brain signalling shape food preference, appetite, and GI and metabolic health. My lab works across Drosophila and human models to identify novel targets for metabolic disease, obesity and GI disorders. I lead CHOICES, a prospective cohort integrating supermarket loyalty card data, continuous glucose monitoring, gut biomarkers, and genomics to understand how individual variation in digestive capacity drives real-world dietary behaviour and disease risk. For industry, I offer expertise in dietary phenotyping at scale, biomarker discovery for metabolic and GI conditions, and translational validation of nutritional and pharmacological interventions.
