I have long-standing experience in developing nucleic acid assay technologies to improve molecular diagnostics. I recently developed a single-cell PCR technique to measure neutrophils containing bacterial DNA on a droplet digital PCR platform and proposed an innovative culture-free molecular diagnosis of bloodstream infections. I would like to further develop the technology to make it implemented in clinical diagnostic use, if I had a research fund.
