My research program addresses how metabolism shapes microbial symbioses. We focus on fungal symbionts of invertebrates (e.g. insects, nematodes, mites, spiders) and their uses for management and control of invertebrate pests. Research approaches span from molecular biology and genetic approaches for genetic engineering of fungi to in-vitro and greenhouse bioassay screening of isolates for parasitism or chemical antagonism of invertebrate pests.
