Dr. JuHyeong Ryu is an Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at WVU specializing in human-centered intelligent occupational safety systems. His research integrates immersive technologies, wearable sensors, AI, and biomechanics to improve workforce training, safety, and health. His work translates advanced sensing and analytics into practical solutions for high-risk industries (e.g., construction, manufacturing, and transportation). Current projects include immersive workforce training platforms, AI-enabled safety and ergonomic risk assessment, and digital-twin-supported safety analytics. He collaborates with industry and government partners to develop scalable safety technologies that reduce injuries, improve training effectiveness, and support data-driven safety management.
