About
Dr. James E. Hubbard Jr. is a University Distinguished Professor and the Oscar S. Wyatt Jr. ’45 Chair I Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is internationally recognized for foundational contributions to adaptive and smart structures, and real-time dynamical control. His current research focuses on Adaptive Digital Twin (ADT) technology for neuroscience and human-machine systems. This work applies system identification, modal analysis, and adaptive estimation techniques to EEG and physiological signals to extract interpretable dynamical signatures associated with cognition, emotional response, workload, and neurological state. Dr. Hubbard is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of AIAA, ASME, SPIE, and the National Academy of Inventors.
