What I’m Looking For Industry collaborations and sponsored research on functional coatings, devices, and surface/interface challenges, including opportunities extending thin film and interfacial expertise to particle and nanoscale surface analysis.
About
Our research focuses on epitaxial oxide and nitride thin films grown by advanced pulsed laser deposition. We control interfaces, strain, and composition to tailor functionalities for electronics (high-performance ferroelectrics and dielectrics), spintronics (ferromagnetic oxides on CMOS-compatible Si), photonics (nonlinear optical materials with enhanced optical constants), and energy (epitaxial electrolytes, catalysts, and battery electrodes). Precise synthesis and characterization enable next-generation multifunctional materials and devices. What I’m Working On Design and growth of functional thin films and interfaces for electronic, magnetic, optical, and energy applications. Focus on controlling structure–property relationships through epitaxy, strain, chemistry in related materials.
